The Chiang Mai Contact Lab is a community space for personal exploration and deepening through the form of Contact Improvisation.

Beginners welcome. We offer a teaching session at the beginning of class, including fundamental concepts and techniques to assist you in your exploration, and plenty of time for your dance.

We hold space weekly throughout the year and welcome visiting dancers, teachers and musicians.

During these sessions, we will explore some of the key principles of contact improvisation to develop a language that can be used for jamming. There will be a strong focus on exploration, improvisation and play. The classes are open for those new to contact and improvisation and for experienced dancers. There will be a progression of material over the weeks. However, participants can choose when to attend.
