The Missoula Contact Improv Jam is a monthly open space, held on the 2nd Friday of each month for movers, improvisers and dancers of all skills and abilities. The jam opens with an opportunity to meet each other and to make requests for the evening. The Missoula CI Jam provides practice space for learning the contact improv form through basic exercises, solos, duets and group work. Individuals may use the time to do floor work, experience stillness, incorporate play, move freely and improvise solos in a safe, non threatening environment. People are expected to take care of their bodies and dance within their limits. The jam will close with a final circle for sharing and input.
