the BodyCartography Project
 is directed by Olive Bieringa and Otto Ramstad. Our ventures include dance performances, installation works, film/video projects and educational workshops. We investigate and create with the bodies' relationship to the physical, architectural, climatic, technological and social landscapes that we inhabit in urban/wilderness and private/public contexts. The Project is available for workshops, lecture demonstrations, performance and film projects. We blend training in: site-specific dance, Contact Improvisation, Body-Mind Centering, improvisational composition, integrated dance and dance video.

Dancing Wilderness Project
an ongoing investigation into the relationship amongst wilderness experience, body-based creative process, and how we live our lives, directed by Karl Frost. The Dancing Wilderness Project engages in performance work as well as in open labratories in the form of 2 to 3 week long wilderness backpacking trips which combine elements of dance workshop, open research, and open-ended wilderness experience. Past labratories have explored Death Valley, Pt Reyes, the Olympic Mountains, and the eastern Sierras. Future projects will be exploring wilderness areas of British Columbia. Wire Monkey Dance Company’s innovative and compelling use of transforming sets of scaffolding along with surrounding video projections and live original music round out dynamic evening length multi-media dance events choreographed by Jennifer Polins and Saliq Francis Savage.
Wire Monkey Dance began creating dances on scaffolding in 1998. Since then, they have developed an innovative movement language in over 10 pieces on a variety of mobile configurations of construction scaffolding. They perform annually in Holyoke and Northampton, MA, and have toured in New England, Taiwan, China and Berlin.
